Thanks to this solar technology, construction security requires no on-site power source. Our mobile surveillance units deter crime by offering security signage. And, inside, the trailers are stocked with the latest wireless visual and audio equipment from our security partner eCamSecure. The on-board system monitors the area around the clock and contacts property owners or builders if trespassing occurs. Uniformed CPS security officers also patrol properties throughout the night and are dispatched in the event of a security breach. Our live video verification allows CPS security officers and owners to view the property when an alarm is tripped by a stray animal or another harmless intruder.

According to the National Equipment Register, which catalogs and tracks construction equipment across the nation to deter construction theft, between $300 million and $1 billion of stolen equipment is reported at construction sites annually. Those figures do not include monetary damage caused by vandalism, fire and water. Why put your reputation and equipment on the line? Our clients save money by installing our top-of-the-line security systems.

Our Los Angeles security company can also monitor your commercial properties 24 hours a day. We build and install security systems to fit any budget.

Any construction company knows that security services are important. This ensures that a site and all of the work and tools on it are protected from vandals and thieves. Additionally, it means that people will not try and live here when construction isn’t happening. Companies that enlist construction crews or groups to come in want to make sure that work is done quickly and efficiently. If there is theft or vandalism or an accident off the clock, it could spell disaster. We at CPS Security understand how to offer a construction location with the best possible security. We have the best technology to ensure that a space is monitored 24/7. The following are some of the things we have to offer when it comes to construction site security.

Our technology is out of this world. We bring security services to a whole different level thanks to our web-based mobile surveillance units. This means we can monitor a location even if we are not physically present. This ensures that all sections of a construction site will be protected. Not only do we have traditional alarm systems but we also use the latest motion detection systems and floodlights. This ensures that trespassers and thieves are caught right away. We understand the nuances of security services, and we offer companies the very best techniques.

We also offer construction security trailers and officers for construction site security. This option means that we can keep tabs on the site while living or visiting it. Additionally, it means that if a situation arises, we can react immediately. We offer such services for both residential and commercial projects. Our uniformed officers know how to find and then deal with a variety of issues. This means that construction sites are truly protected at all times of the day.

The type of security a construction company is offered depends on the size of the location, the type of equipment on site, and the needs of the space. We know how to look at a site and pinpoint danger zones that are at-risk. Having the best surveillance equipment and experienced security staff means that we will always offer the best construction site security packages. The customized approach we take keeps any site safe.

Having round-the-clock surveillance is important for construction companies. Often, there is a lot of expensive equipment on site. And of course, no company wants to put hundreds of hours into a project only to see it destroyed or damaged by vandals and thieves. We have over 20 years of experience in security, and we are a nationwide group that has offered services to hundreds of groups. Currently, we employ 2,500 employees around the nation, and we only use the very best alarm panels, floodlights, and motion detection equipment. If you want to get your money’s worth from security, then you should give CPS a call. We are here to make your construction site as safe as possible.

The vulnerability of exposed, unattended construction sites has warranted the need for sophisticated, efficient, and personalized security networks to detect and prevent criminal activity. Unlike standard edifices that often receive the security benefit of locked enclosure, construction sites require advanced technological and personal assistance to ensure that no property is stolen or damaged.

CPS Security Solutions is a company with the foresight, integrity, and technological efficacy to spearhead these needed technological advancements in construction security with their wide range of services and staff. Their construction security products and services range from professionally placed security guards to mobile surveillance units.

Chief among the most promising developments in the new wave of security technology is mobile surveillance systems. Construction sites especially need mobile surveillance because valuable property is often relocated throughout the workday. CPS Security’s MSU or Mobile Surveillance Unit offers affordable, discrete, and around the clock security to professionally fulfill this need for you. Capable of streaming their feed either to an onsite security office or to CPS Security’s hub, MSUs offer much more than just video relay. Just a few of the many elective enhancements available with CPS Security’s MSUs are remote movement, zoom control, photographic capabilities and even solar power.

Featuring solar panels and powerful batteries, WSUs or Wireless Surveillance Units offer you the same comprehensive surveillance as MSUs with improved mobility. These wireless units are also available for alarm response, motion detection, and various other enhancements. Construction sites with limited or no access to nearby power sources are the prime beneficiaries of this cunning technology.

As it concerns human resources, CPS lends the services of professionally trained construction security guards with their staffing service. This greatly streamlines the process of acquainting construction security guards with security equipment that may be new to them, as CPS professionals are already well versed in how to best supplement and react to the services offered by CPS equipment. Trained to deal with adverse situations, check in regularly at pre-approved sites and react quickly to CPS alarm systems, CPS construction security guards offer you ample peace of mind.

CPS also offers their Smart Patrol technology, an all-encompassing motion detection system that enables you to place sensors throughout your site. In close collaboration with CPS security personnel, the Smart Patrol system will activate alarms and prompt security assistance to areas that detect intrusion.

To facilitate learning about CPS, selecting an appropriate plan and to answer any other questions you may have, CPS Integration Technicians are available for consultation. They are specifically trained to assist you through every detail of establishing an affordable and effective security system with CPS from security hub connectivity to hardware instillation.

The advanced technological practices listed above are the safest, most inexpensive, and most effective deterrents to construction site theft and property damage. Realizing this, CPS gives you the comprehensive coverage you need with their sophisticated monitoring and alarm systems. Integrating an experienced human touch exactly where it is needed, CPS leads a promising new generation of construction security technology.

The use of solar panels throughout the US has expanded hugely the last few years. Between environmental concerns and the rising cost of energy, more individuals, companies and government agencies are realizing the benefits of using solar power to meet their energy needs.

As demand grows for solar power however, the cost of solar panels still remains relatively high. As the recession lingers and many people are still unable to find jobs to support themselves and their families, rates of theft and other crimes are on the increase. Unfortunately, many thieves have realized that solar panels are worth a good deal of money, and are often simply screwed into place outdoors, meaning they can be removed quite quickly with minimal tools, creating a need for security solutions to protect solar power sources.

Due to these circumstances, instances of stolen solar panels are on the increase across the country. It is getting to the point where solar panels are the new copper wiring when it comes to theft. Thieves remove the panels at night, then resell them on the black market. This can leave homes, schools and businesses that rely on solar power without energy until they can purchase replacement panels, the cost of which may or may not be covered under their insurance plans.

There is a need for increased solar panel security and solar theft prevention practices to combat this trend. This is where a solution such as a Mobile Surveillance Unit (MSU) from CPS Security can come provide security for solar farms and other locations using solar panels. MSUs can themselves be powered by solar energy, and wirelessly transmit images to a monitoring location in order to protect your property and investments. The biggest benefit of this is that the unit can be placed virtually anywhere, anytime to provide round-the-clock solar security and surveillance for a good portion of your entire location.

Users of MSUs experience far fewer incidences of theft as the unit serves as a deterrent, but when incidents do occur, the perpetrators can be more readily identified and apprehended, and property more likely to be recovered. Also, the cost of your insurance will be lowered, which helps to offset the cost of the unit. This is true whether providing security for utilities and solar substations or for virtually any other residential or commercial structure powered by this green energy source.

Vacation homes are perfect targets for theft, break ins or vandalism. Because they are unoccupied a lot of the time, vacation home security surveillance systems are a popular choice for protecting your assets. Beach homes, cabins, ski chalets, condos and apartments all benefit from vacation house security cameras. Easy to install, a vacation home security surveillance system doesn’t require power tools or technicians. Just place the cameras in select locations and activate.

There are software programs that allow transmission of camera footage via the internet or cellular signal. Owners can monitor their vacation homes remotely from any location preventing damage to their property. Vacation home security surveillance systems allow you to customize when the camera records either by detecting motion in the room, as in someone entering or at specific times of day. Vacation house security cameras that are prominently displayed act as a deterrent to thieves and vandals who want an easy entrance and escape with no hassle. However, make sure that the camera are not easily accessible to anyone. Thieves may try to steal the camera to prevent identity, which is why strategic location and multiple cameras are necessary. If your home does get burglarized, a vacation home security surveillance system is a great way to properly and accurately identify the thieves.

CPS Security Solutions offers a video verification monitoring service which monitors and video verifies intrusion alerts. When a crime in progress is verified local authorities are alerted and are dispatched to a verified crime in progress. A swift responce from the authorities most of the time results in intruder apprehension before loss can accure. However, those caught on tape have no case or defense. Most home owners can recover stolen items or at least settle their case with a monetary value, while justice is served to the criminal.

When choosing a vacation home security surveillance consider the size, type and location of your home. Different locations and types require different security systems. Think about what your biggest security threat might be, how secure you feel with your neighbors, is your home in a high risk area with past incidents of theft or vandalism, and does anything stand out with your home that makes it a target.

Vacation home security surveillance systems protect you biggest assets and small ones too such as furniture, rugs, paintings, electronics, etc. Vacation house security cameras should be placed near doors to capture on camera anyone who enters or exits your home and to show what they are carrying in or out. A camera should also be placed on anything of high value in your home or outside it such as boats, jet skis, bikes, etc. that are in a driveway, garage or cabana.

Construction site security is every construction executives’ high priority. Managing sites during on and off hours can prove to be quite cumbersome and expensive. Theft is the number one problem with major losses of equipment and materials costing thousands and thousands of dollars. Wireless construction security systems are a great way to monitor one or multiple construction sites at one time, from one location, night or day. The ability to have eyes everywhere, protects valuable assets from being lost.

With wireless construction security systems, construction executives are able to view streaming video in real time 24/7. Cameras, motion detectors, air quality sensors and moisture sensors all make it easy to detect everything that is going on at any given time. Construction executives are not only concerned with after hours security. Being able to monitor their staff during work hours is crucial in keeping up with productivity and process. Executives are able to monitor their staff to ensure safety procedures are being followed, process is being upheld and to settle any disputes. With multiple sites, wireless security systems make it easy to be everywhere at one time. A safer construction site and management presence, keep employees on their toes and deadlines are more easily met.

Wireless construction security systems are thought to be too costly but that cost is offset right away by theft reduction. Other cost reductions come with lower insurance rates for sites with a once high theft rate that has now dropped. These cost savings make the purchase of a wireless security system an easy choice.

Construction Protective Services (CPS), offers construction executives peace of mind. With web based mobile surveillance units, sites can be remotely monitored from any location. CPS is a leader in security and surveillance with protection of construction sites – either commercial or residential. They offer uniformed patrol security officers and alarm response guards with 24 hour dispatch in construction trailers. A customized packaged tailored to the needs of any site is available upon request. When it comes to wireless construction security systems, CPS’ technology leads the way.

Apartment complexes are high risk for theft and vandalism due to easy access to residents who can be complete strangers. Apartment Complex CCTV Security Systems are a great way to keep residents and their belongings safe. With easy to install CCTV cameras, surveillance is easy to maintain. CCTV systems, unlike analog cameras, can be put anywhere on the property offering great flexibility. Property value is raised, when residents feels safe and secure.

The most common way for a thief to enter a gated complex is by slipping in when a tenant enters the building. Apartment complex CCTV security systems deter thieves at the door just by the site of the camera alone. Parking garages and any other public area should be monitored by CCTV cameras, keeping residents safe when on property but outside their individual apartments. Surveillance of the entire property allows property management to have 24/7 access to witness any suspicious activity. Management can check activity any time with high resolution images on their CCTV systems making identity much more clear. With a network of IP cameras by network video recorder, management can view footage via the net from any location. With real time access and recorded evidence, a CCTV system is a great investment for any property owner or manager.

When shopping for apartment complex CCTV security systems consider some major points such what the biggest security issue is for your property, what kind of problems have existed, what type of tenants you have and what the turnover rate is. Consider if you have a parking garage versus street parking and the layout of the apartments within the complex. CCTV cameras should be arranged to cover most public areas but not invade the privacy of tenants. Surveillance is intended to protect and create a secure and safe environment and CCTV systems, when placed properly, offer that security.

Apartment CCTV security systems offer peace of mind to both tenants and property owners as well as property managers. CCTV cameras are the eyes and ears that ensure safety and security day and night. Surveillance of any kind is highly sought after by apartment hunters. A CCTV system adds that extra value to the property that makes renters feel that property owners care about their property and about them.

The CMOS or CCD chip is at the heart of a modern security camera. It is this ship that captures your images, and, consequently, its size is what determines image quality. Larger CCD chips (up to 1/2 inch) will give the highest resolution and finest detail. Security video cameras commonly use 1/3 inch chips. You can choose from infrared security cameras, dome security cameras, systems especially built for IT/Networks and wireless CCTV cameras. Security is your top priority, and even though you may choose the highest quality CCD chip, proper placement of your security camera is the key to crime prevention. Remember, many crimes occur in the security of your own home, and one of the many uses of your CCTV system can be to monitor accepted guests, such as babysitters, contractors or housekeepers.

Security CCTV systems range from simple black and white cameras to sophisticated PTZ cameras that can pan and tilt to monitor 360 degrees. A PTZ security camera is as effective as 10 fixed CCTV security systems. Cameras like this have no blind spots, and can even see what is directly below them. They are highly suggested for use in law enforcement and casinos.

Most CCTV systems, regardless of sophistication, have a great number of standard features that, right out of the box, contribute to your security. Cameras with wireless network technology make setup, maintenance and secure operation a breeze, while the rigged construction of box cameras make them good security solutions for outdoors and indoor locations. Anywhere you need the peace of mind of constant surveillance cameras, CCTV systems are available.”

Taking every step necessary to ensure the safety of the home is a top priority for most families. When the home is safe, the family is safe and free to relax and live life without the stress of fear. Whether you live in a high-crime area or in a neighborhood commonly regarded as “safe”, in matters of protecting the family, it is always best to err on the side of precaution. Of course, the security conditions of the neighborhood where your home is located feature prominently in determining the wisest strategies for enacting these precautions. While some families may only assess a need for a home alarm, others may take a more multi-pronged approach by investing in a home security camera as well.

In either case, the decision to invest in home security systems is, doubtless, a sage one. It is a proven fact that most robbery attempts on homes outfitted with a home security system are unsuccessful, and this isn’t even accounting for the fact that most thieves will not make burglary attempts on houses with these systems to begin with. Translated: in safeguarding your home with a home security camera and/or alarm system, you will not only improve your family’s chances of being able to halt a robbery in its tracks, but will also lower your chances of having to stop burglary at all! And because statistics show that less claims come from families who proactively take home security measures, many insurance companies offer discounts on premiums to customers who have done so. Considering that the money saved on insurance pays for the system and then some in the long run, the decision to install one is, both from a safety perspective and a finances perspective, something of a no-brainer.

Regardless of the clear and present advantages to doing so, families often wait to opt for installing a home security camera or alarm system until they have been “scared straight” – that is, until they’ve already been victimized by robbery. It doesn’t make sense, but it is a fairly typical behavioral quality plaguing the human species. It is certainly wiser to spare yourself and your family the unsettling trauma of home invasion and the sadness that accompanies losing irreplaceable family heirlooms, and sometimes all it takes to turn this wisdom into an actuality is realizing what is at stake and what may be lost…or, alternatively, of what may be saved, protected, and secured.

With the many options for protecting your home, locating a security system that suits your exact needs and budget is painless. Even basic alarms with contact sensors for doors and windows and infrared sensors for inside the home almost always come equipped with control options and an alarm, and sometimes with emergency help services. To go the extra mile, a home security camera will even further safeguard you and your loved ones, repelling potential invaders and alerting you to their proximity, should there be any actual theft attempts on your home. Why wait for too late? The right home security system is waiting to assist you…you just have to explore your options.

Threatening public safety, the reliability of the services that keep America connected and comfortable, and the continuing cost-efficiency and affordability of those services, materials and equipment theft at public utilities site – and thus, utility security – has fast become a matter of grave national concern.

While the ethic (or lack thereof) of most forms of theft always tends to be fundamentally the same, the way theft looks – with regard for what is being stolen, where, why, and how – is ever changing. In an increasingly “2.0” world where we are all integrating new and improved technologies into our daily lives, it is often all too easy to forget that serial thieves are members of the same computer savvy “we” and “all” as the law abiding masses, and that improved technologies and the heightened, quick, accessibility to information flows have the unfortunate downside of educating criminals and allowing for their plans to be more sophisticated, informed, and tactical – and there are an abundance of news and police reports to prove it.

Many such reports have centered around the epidemic of metal theft, particularly copper, that has been ongoing for several years now and which is undoubtedly the source of many a migraine for the lawmakers, police force, and public utilities employees faced with the task of repairing damages and putting a stop to it. This crime trend certainly demonstrates no arbitrary, random, decisions on the part of the thieves responsible for it, but rather, careful calculations based on the swelling per pound exchange value of copper wires and parts at recycling plants that had ascended from 80 cents in 2003 to more than $4 per pound at its peak around late 2007. Being found in abundance in public utilities infrastructure like phone lines, electrical substations, and water irrigation systems that are often remote and not usually under surveillance, the “work” of copper thieves alone is costing the nation more than $1 billion, annually, according to The Department of Energy. Unfortunately, with the international economic downturn-influenced devaluation of recyclable metals, public utilities sites haven’t become less attractive to thieves. Instead, some have shifted focus to other costly materials. For example, in March, 2009, 90 solar panels valued at $1,000 per unit were made off with at a water treatment plant in Northern California, an event that exemplifies the growing popularity of theft centered around green technology materials.

Further, in an era where the threat of terrorism is very real, the motivating factors for public utilities materials theft should be recognized as being of the potentiality to be substantially more malicious in nature than more standard motivators for burglary, with the provocation of fear and chaos and the intention of causing physical harm to Americans representing atypical but still possible agendas that this brand of crime may be enacted to fulfill.

The solution? Fight fire with fire, according to many experts. Or, more specifically: counter technology and intelligence with even smarter and more capable technology and intelligence. By contracting and implementing better public utilities surveillance systems like IP cameras and CCTV monitoring systems that make often secluded, theft susceptible public utilities infrastructure sites viewable remotely, these crimes may be noticed and halted while they occur, saving the utilities companies bottom-lines in the long run not only by preventing and stopping theft, but also eliminating the necessity of commissioning often costly teams of security guards to safeguard sites – especially when accounting for the vast amount of space that utilities infrastructure occupies nationwide.
